[Xtartups Interviewer] What does your product or service do?

We are building a two-sided marketplace for founders to connect with early adopters for customer discovery interviews.


[Xtartups Interviewer] What's your product's elevator pitch?

We recruit early adopters for startups for data-driven customer discovery interviews.


[Xtartups Interviewer] Tell us a bit about your team.

My CTO Stef has 1 previous successful exit and 25+ YOE in SWE.


[Xtartups Interviewer] What motivated you to work on this product?

I realized there was no all-in-one platform for customer discovery.


[Xtartups Interviewer] Tell us where you are in this product/company's journey?

We are in alpha right now with 120+ founders on our waitlist.

[Xtartups Interviewer] What has been your biggest learning moment in this journey?

We had few critical assumptions that needed validating, such as, Would early adopters be willing to try founders' MVPs for free. We were surprised when we saw that they were more than happy to do so.


[Xtartups Interviewer] What has been your biggest validation for creating this product and taking it to the market?

Founders not only signed up for our waitlist but many of them became paying customers even before the platform was live.


[Xtartups Interviewer] How did you find your first 10 customers?

I went on social media and signed up for YC startup school; indiehackers.com and founder slack communities were great.


[Xtartups Interviewer] If you weren't working on this product, which other product/idea would you be pursuing?

I cannot think of any other.


[Xtartups Interviewer] Who is your favorite bootstrapped founder? And why?

Andrew Gazdecki - He is a spokesman for bootstrap founders, helping shed light on the journey of building something from the trenches.

The Customer Discovercast and How I Built This By Guy Raz.


[Xtartups Interviewer] What do you wish you knew when you started working on this idea?

I would have gone straight to hiring qualified developers rather than trying to develop the platform with interns.


[Xtartups Interviewer] For someone who is thinking of starting a bootstrapped business, what would be the one thing they should watch out for?

Ensure that you validate your idea or MVP before quitting your job or taking other big leaps.


[Xtartups Interviewer] Are you hiring for any positions? If yes, how can people reach out to you?

We need a marketing expert (a CMO would be good).
